IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata volleyball had its five-match Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) winning streak snapped Thursday night inside Alumnae Hall as Notre Dame of Maryland defeated the Mighty Macs, 3-1, in league action. Immaculata won the first set, 25-22, but Notre Dame came back winning the next three sets, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-20.

Arden Vizzard had a double-double with a team-high 13 kills and 15 digs.
Shelby Belk also reached double figures in kills with 11 while making three total blocks.
Nicole Taylor had eight kills and 17 digs.
Olivia Zdradzinski also recorded a double-double with 33 assists and 17 digs while adding two total blocks.

Rachel Rockefeller had three total blocks and
Tess Kieffer had two block assists.
Molly Truitt led the defense making 31 digs.

In the first set, the Gators (13-7, 4-4 CSAC) had a 7-6 lead when the Mighty Macs (8-12, 5-3 CSAC) scored three-straight points to take a two-point edge (9-7). Those three points started a 9-3 run by Immaculata that put them in the lead for good the rest of the set. Notre Dame didn't fade the rest of the even, drawing within one (21-20) late in the set, but Immaculata was able to stay in front.

The second set was back-and-forth with the teams all square at 14-all. The Gators won the 15th point on a block, and began a seven-point run to force Immaculata to call timeout. The Mighty Macs came out of the timeout winning six of the next seven points cutting the deficit to 22-20. Unfortunately, the Gators reached 25 points first.

Immaculata led in the early going of the third set. However, a 12-1 spurt by Notre Dame turned the match in favor of the Gators, 22-20, and the guests again claimed the set.

The fourth set was a see-saw for the first 15 points with Immaculata holding an 8-7 lead. Notre Dame won the next three points for the 10-8 lead, and never relinquished.

Immaculata heads to Marywood on Saturday for action against the Pacers at noon followed by a non-conference match against Manhattanville at 2 p.m.
