Box Score CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team won their third game in their last four tries by shooting 55% from the field, 44% from three point range, and 83% from the line in an 80-67 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory over Summit (1-14, 1-7 CSAC) on Saturday afternoon on the road.

IU had five different scorers in double figures in one of their most balanced efforts of the season. Junior
Roy Ferrell Jr. moved into 7
th on the all-time scoring list at IU with 16 points to lead the team and get to 693 points in his career. Senior
Rodney Duncan (team-high 3 assists) and junior
Matt Simon each had 12 points, while freshman
Mike Piekarski (5-6 FT) and junior
Michael Griffin III (3-4 FG) had 11 and 10 points off the bench, respectively. Senior
Tony Calamaro added eight points as well.

As a team, the Mighty Macs were 27-for-49 (55.1%) from the field, 7-for-16 (43.8%) from three-point land, and 19-for-23 (82.6%) from the charity stripe.

The Mighty Macs led nearly wire-to-wire as their only deficits were 2-0 and 4-2 in the opening minutes of the game, but IU erased the latter deficit on a jumper by Simon and triple by Duncan to go up 7-4 three minutes into the game.

The final tie of the game would be at 14-14 with 11:18 to go in the first half as neither team was able to separate early until the Macs went on a little 8-3 spurt to go up by five at 22-17. Griffin III hit a three, Simon laid one in, and Ferrell Jr. converted a three-point play to fuel the run.

The Macs would get their lead as large as seven in the opening period and took a 38-33 lead to the locker room.

The Mighty Macs would get their lead into double digits five minutes into the second half as Simon buried a three pointer to build the advantage to 50-40 after the Defenders got as close as four points.

The lead would get into double digits to stay at the 12:39 mark, and grew to as large as 16 on a lay-up by Calamaro to make the score 70-54.

The Macs salted away the CSAC victory, 80-67.

The Mighty Macs will finish up their third straight road game on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at Rosemont.
