IMMACULATA, Pa. – The women's tennis team took a break from conference action Tuesday afternoon as Immaculata hosted Penn State Harrisburg at the IU Tennis Court, and the Mighty Macs handed the visitors a 7-2 defeat.

Kara Trowbridge,
Jenna Fratterelli and
Kelly Gross all picked up wins in both singles and doubles action.
The Mighty Macs (4-1) started the match by winning at all three doubles positions. Degnan and Gross teamed up for an 8-4 win against Jessica Miller and Nandita Munindra at the top doubles position.
Annaliese Kambouroglos and Trowbridge, playing in the second spot, defeated Shawna Brandt and Alexandria Owens, 8-3. IU's third doubles pair of Fratterelli and
Caitlin Savage won 8-3 opposite Aiba Diaby and TianChang Luo.
Degnan came back from a close first set against Munindra to take the first singles match, 6-4, 6-0. Trowbridge was able to hold off Brandt at third singles, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). Fratterelli won a contestedmatch at fifth singles against Diaby, 7-5, 6-3, and Gross rolled in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) against Luo at the sixth position.
Immaculata returns to league play Friday hosting Cedar Crest at 3:30 p.m.
