RADNOR, Pa.- After 11 days off, the Mighty Mac women's tennis team travelled to Cabrini (3-2, 2-0 CSAC) looking for their second win on the young season, and after dropping two of the three doubles matches, each team won three singles matches which gave the Cavaliers a 5-4 win over Immaculata (1-1, 1-1 CSAC).

Sophomore
Kelly Gross continued the great start to her season as she won her doubles and singles match.

In doubles, Gross partnered with junior
Lauren Degnan in the first doubles position and got a hard-earned 8-6 victory. In the second doubles match, junior
Annaliese Kambouroglos and senior
Kara Trowbridge were edged, 8-6, and juniors
Jenna Fratterelli and
Nicole Burley fell 8-4 in the third spot.

Onto singles, Trowbridge earned a straight sets victory in the third position, 6-1, 6-3, and Kambouroglos did the same in a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 win in the fourth spot.

Gross picked up the third singles win for the Mighty Macs in thrilling fashion as she won a third set tie break, 10-6, after each side won a set 6-3.

The Macs will play their first non-conference match of the season on Tuesday when they travel to Penn State-Berks for a 3:30 p.m. match.
