IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's tennis squad began the 2015 season Tuesday afternoon with a 9-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) sweep against Rosemont College.

The Mighty Macs (1-0, 1-0 CSAC) started the match rolling in doubles action against the Ravens (0-1, 0-1 CSAC). The top two doubles pairs (
Lauren Degnan-
Kelly Gross and
Kara Trowbridge-
Annaliese Kambouroglos) each gave up two games, while the third doubles team of
Nicole Burley and
Jenna Fratterelli didn't allow Rosemont any games.

Immaculata continued to dominate with victories at all six singles positions. Trowbridge, playing third singles, and Fratterelli and Gross at the fifth and sixth spot, respectively, all won in straight sets (6-0, 6-0). Degnan won at the top spot, 6-0, 6-1, and Kambouroglos won in the fourth position by the same 6-0, 6-1 margin.

Burley's counterpart from Rosemont won the most games in singles as Burley sealed her match at second singles, 6-1, 6-1.

The Mighty Macs are off until Sept. 12 when they travel to Cabrini at noon for another CSAC match.
