Box Score 2 COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Immaculata University concluded the regular-season portion of the 2015 schedule on Monday afternoon dropping both ends of its non-conference doubleheader at Ursinus, 6-5 and 4-1.

Ursinus went ahead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second, but Immaculata came back in the top of the third to tie the game at 2-2. The Mighty Macs loaded the bases as
Paige Murphy reached on an error, Donofry singled, and
Brittany Merkle walked. Bartow then singled into left field for her second RBI.

The game remained tied until the sixth inning when Immaculata started the inning with three runs. With two outs, the Mighty Macs managed to get the bases loaded, and two singles brought the three runners home. Donofry had a two-RBI single into right field, and Merkle followed with a RBI single up the middle.

Immaculata's (16-18) lead was short-lived after Ursinus came back to score three runs in the bottom of the sixth and once again tie the score (6-6).

Ursinus then won the game in the bottom of the seventh as a runner reached on a walk, advanced to third on a single, and came around to score on a play not in time at the plate.

Donofry and Merkle each had two hits, and Donofry and Bartow had two RBIs each.
Lexie Diaz started and pitched 5.1 innings allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits, walked five and struck out three.
Caitlin Brasier closed out the sixth inning not giving up a hit and walking one.
Meghan Kugler took the loss as she entered in the top of the seventh allowing one hit and one run.

The Mighty Macs scored their only run of the nightcap in the second to take a 1-0 lead at the point. Bartow led the inning off with a single, and
Caitlyn Hudock bunted her over to second. Kugler then singled up the middle as Bartow came home.

Ursinus responded with two runs in its half of the second, and added two more runs in the fourth.

Brasier started and went five innings allowing seven hits, four runs, two earned, walking two and striking out two. Kugler pitched one inning, only faced three batters and struck out one.

Immaculata begins play in the Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday, April 29, hosting fifth-seeded Marywood at 4 p.m. in a single-elimination first round game. Â
