GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's tennis team (7-3, 5-2 CSAC) lost in a rain-shortened match on the road at Gwynedd Mercy (11-1, 7-0 CSAC) on Friday afternoon, 7-0.
 
The Mighty Macs fell to 5-2 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play and 7-3 overall.
 
Senior Kara Trowbridge and junior Annaliese Kambouroglos played a tough match in the second doubles match, but fell, 8-5 in the closest doubles contest.
 
In singles, two of the six matches were cut short due to rain.  Sophomore Kelly Gross won the first set in her match 6-4 and led 5-2 in the second in the sixth spot, but was unable to finish to due to conditions.  Trowbridge dropped the first set 6-1, but rebounded with a 6-4 win in the second set, but was also unable to complete the match.
 
The Macs will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at Rutgers-Camden.
