READING, Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis team (6-2) saw their five-match winning streak come to an end on Monday afternoon with a 6-0 loss at Alvernia.
One doubles match and two singles matches were not played.
In first doubles, junior
Lauren Degnan and sophomore
Kelly Gross fell in a tight 8-6 match, while freshman
Caitlin Savage and freshman
Anne McDermott lost 8-1 in second doubles.
In singles, Gross played up in the second singles position and she put up a great fight. She won the first set 6-4, lost the second set 6-4 before falling 11-9 in the third set tie break.
The team will look to get back on track on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. match at Notre Dame.
