CAMDEN, N.J.- The Immaculata women's tennis team (8-3) bounced back from their second CSAC loss of the season yesterday with an 8-1 non-conference victory over Rutgers-Camden (1-5) on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles play, the Macs won two of three. In the second spot, junior
Annaliese Kambouroglos and senior
Kara Trowbridge won 8-0, and junior
Jenna Fratterelli and freshman
Caitlin Savage had a victory by default in the third position as the Macs led 2-1 after doubles.
In singles, IU won all six to take the non-conference contest. Kambouroglos in the third spot and Fratterelli in the fourth spot each won with 6-0, 6-0 sweeps. In the second position, Trowbridge won a tough 7-5, 6-4 match for the fifth point.
Junior
Lauren Degnan played a solid match in the top spot with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph.
Sophomore
Kelly Gross and Savage won by default in the fifth and sixth positions.
Immaculata will go back in CSAC play on Tuesday afternoon with a road match at Summit at 4 p.m.
