Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's basketball team fell to Neumann University, 51-48, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Thursday evening in Alumane Hall. It was the first CSAC home loss for the Mighty Macs (8-8 overall, 6-3 CSAC) this season.

Mamadou Diakite totaled a team and game-high 16 points and grabbed five rebounds, while sophomore
Roy Ferrell Jr. amassed 11 points, six rebounds and two assists., Junior
Rodney Duncan registered seven points, five rebounds, and three assists. Fellow junior
Ron Melton recorded a game-high three steals and two blocks.
Immaculata jumped out to a 13-4 lead off a layup by Diakite at 12:39 of the first half. However, the Knights (10-6, 7-2) used a 17-8 run to tie the game at 21 with 4:00 remaining in the opening stanza. The Mighty Macs broke the tie and took a 23-22 lead into intermission. After Neumann took a quick two-point lead (27-25) to begin the second half, Immaculata went on a 15-4 run, punctuated by a three-point field goal from sophomore
Matt Simon to post a 39-31 lead with 12:07 left. The Knights used another run over the next eight minutes, to grab a 46-43 lead at the 4:40 mark of the final frame. Neumann held off the Mighty Macs over the final four minutes to earn the 51-48 win.
James Butler tied the game-high with 16 points, while Andrew Moye pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds. Kevin Green also added 11 points in the victory.
Immaculata returns to the court on Saturday, January 24, when they host Cabrini College in CSAC action. Tip-off is slated for 3pm.
