Women's Tennis Bounces Back With 7-2 Win

MIDDLETOWN, Pa.-
Following a tough 5-4 loss that ended their three-match winning streak, the Mighty Macs (6-2) bounced back with a solid 7-2 victory over Penn State-Harrisburg on Tuesday afternoon.
 
In doubles, a first pairing of sophomores Annaliese Kambouroglos and Lauren Degnan won a 9-7 battle in their first match together.  Sophomore Nicole Burley and junior Kara Trowbridge continued to play well in the second doubles spot with an 8-5 victory, but IU lost by default in the third position.
 
The Mighty Macs would fall by default in the sixth singles position, but they won the other five singles matches in straight sets.
 
Degnan won 7-5, 6-1 in the first spot, and Burley won 6-4, 6-4 in the second spot.  Trowbridge (6-1, 6-2) in the third spot, Kambouroglos (6-1, 6-1) in the fourth spot, and sophomore Jenna Fratterelli (6-0, 6-1) in the fifth spot, all played well in victories for IU.
 
Immaculata will look to move to 4-1 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play on Thursdsay when they travel to Cedar Crest.
