Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.-The Immaculata women's soccer team hosted Swarthmore (4-1) in their final non-conference contest of the season prior to starting Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play, and the Mighty Macs (0-6) were unable to keep pace with the Garnet as Swarthmore won 7-0.

Swarthmore got a strong start in the 11
th minute when Mele Johnson went on a breakaway, however senior
Meghan McCurnin (four saves) made the initial save, but Johnson collected her own rebound and made it 1-0 Swarthmore.

The Garnet would net four more goals in the first half in a span of 23 minutes to take a commanding 5-0 lead.

The Mighty Macs best chance of the half came late when sophomore
Paulina Rucci collected a ricocheted corner ball and hit a clean strike from 25 yards out, but it hit the crossbar and barely stayed out of the net as the Garnet took the five goal lead to the locker room.

Junior goalie
Elizabeth McBride came on in the second half and made 12 saves, but Swarthmore would add two more goals to get to the final of 7-0.

Immaculata will now be off until next Wednesday when they host Cairn in their CSAC opener at Draper Walsh Stadium at 4 p.m.
