IMMACULATA, Pa. – Women's soccer laid the foundation for the future in 2025 under the direction of head coach
Seamus O'Connor.
O'Connor made his return to the Draper Walsh Stadium sidelines this season. He was the inaugural Mighty Macs' men's soccer coach from 2005-06.
This year, the Mighty Macs went 4-10-1 (3-4 AEC). However, it was evident that there is room for growth in 2026 and beyond.
THE SCHEDULE
Immaculata opened the 2025 campaign with a 1-1 draw at Alvernia, with freshman
Gracie Repici tallying her first career goal. The Mighty Macs followed that with a 3-0 win over Cedar Crest in their home opener. Although the team would see a losing streak shortly after, the Mighty Macs gained valuable experience playing against tough Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth teams like Eastern and Widener, and MAC Freedom teams like Lebanon Valley.
To begin Atlantic East Conference (AEC) play in October, the Mighty Macs earned a strong 2-0 win over Centenary (N.J.). They had a 1-0 lead at the half, thanks to an impressive shot by
Sam Terry. Terry nailed a long free kick just a few feet away from the midfield logo. The ball barely grazed the goalkeeper's hand and went in the net.
Despite a defeat at Marymount afterward, Immaculata bounced back with a dominant 6-0 decision over Saint Elizabeth. The Mighty Macs did not allow a single shot attempt, and the three Immaculata goalies all saw playing time in a combined shutout. Six different Mighty Macs scored a goal that day, including
Lily McGee and
Maria Granitto, whose goals were the first of their careers.
Immaculata was in the thick of the playoff hunt at the end of the season, but a loss to Marywood in the regular season finale eliminated them. The Mighty Macs have plenty of optimism as they head into the second year under O'Connor.
BOX SCORE ANALYSIS
Immaculata had the same starting lineup for most of the season. In 15 matches, seven Mighty Macs started each one, including goalkeeper
