BOX SCOREIMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis team stayed unbeaten in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with a 9-0 victory over visiting Baptist Bible (3-2, 1-1 CSAC). The Mighty Macs (3-1, 2-0 CSAC) didn't drop a set en route to the victory.
Immaculata started quickly in doubles as sophomore
Nicole Burley and junior
Kara Trowbridge won easily 8-0 in the second spot, while sophomore
Annaliese Kambouroglos and senior
Pattie McGinley triumphed by the same score in the third spot.
Sophomore
Lauren Degnan and junior
Emily Degnan won in a tough battle in the first doubles position, 10-8.
In singles, the Mighty Macs continued to dominate and swept all six matches. Sophomore
Jenna Fratterelli won in the sixth singles position without dropping a game, 6-0, 6-0.
Kambouroglos also cruised in the fifth singles spot to give her two wins on the day, as did Burley and Trowbridge in the third and fourth position, respectively.
Junior
Emily Degnan followed up her doubles victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win in the second singles spot. Sophomore
Lauren Degnan did the same in the top singles spot and won 6-3, 6-2.
Immaculata will now look to make it three straight CSAC wins to start the season as they travel to Cedar Crest tomorrow for a 1 p.m. start.
