Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball squad punched its ticket to the 2014 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament on Saturday with its 3-0 sweep against Keystone College on Senior Day. The Mighty Macs won the match by scores of 25-23, 25-13 and 29-27.

It marks the first postseason appearance by the Mighty Macs since the 2008 campaign. Immaculata (17-8, 7-4 CSAC) will be the fifth seed in the CSAC Tournament and will travel to fourth-seeded Cairn on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

It was a team effort on Saturday with
Gabrielle Guerrera leading the squad with nine kills and three total blocks.
Arden Vizzard added eight kills and nine digs.
Stephanie Johler and
Jamie Rombach, both playing in their final home games, each had seven kills and two blocks.

Maranda Jones recorded 17 assists, and senior
Brittany Thompson made 14 assists and 10 digs for a double-double to go along with her two service aces.
Emily Swank paced the back row making 17 digs, and
Molly Truitt had 14 digs.

Immaculata won the first three points of the opening set but got behind Keystone, 5-3. Any time the Mighty Macs would pull out in front, the Giants who answer. In all, the lead changed six times and on nine occasions the score was tied. The set was tied for the final time at 21-21, and Immaculata then took a 23-21 lead. Keystone cut the margin to one point twice but Immaculata won the set on a Guerrera kill.

The Mighty Macs used a seven-point run to open up a 3-3 set in the second, and the Giants never could catch up. An eight-point spurt later in the set put Immaculata ahead, 20-7, on Keystone.

The third set was a thriller that went down to the wire. The score was tied 22 times and the lead changed hands 11 times. The lead never pushed beyond two points at any moment during the set. Immaculata set up match-point at 24-23 but Keystone scored twice to reach set-point for the Giants. The Giants and Mighty Macs traded side-outs until Immaculata tied the set at 27-27. Immaculata set up match-point for just the second time at 28-27 and Rombach's kill gave the hosts the win.
