GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- Women's tennis attempted to win their fourth consecutive match when they travelled to Gwynedd Mercy today, but the Griffins started strong and took the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match 8-1.  The Mighty Macs (4-3, 3-1 CSAC) suffered their first conference defeat of the season.

The lone point on the day was picked up by freshman Annaliese Kambouroglos in the fourth singles position as she has now started her IU career with six consecutive victories, including four in conference play.

Freshman Jenna Fratterelli also played well, but came up short in the sixth singles position when she lost a third set tie breaker 10-8.

The Mighty Macs will have a chance for redemption tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Baptist Bible at 1 p.m. for another CSAC matchup.
