Mighty Macs Drop Non-Conference Finale, 6-2

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis team (7-7) hosted Bryn Mawr in their non-conference finale and came away with a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Owls.  This afternoon's match was the first of four straight home contests for the Mighty Macs to close out the regular season.
 
Freshman Lauren Degnan got a hard-earned point in the top singles position.  After splitting the first two sets, she won a 10-8 tie break to get the Mighty Macs their lone singles point of the day.
 
Freshman Annaliese Kambouroglos was down one set and tied in the second, but was unable to finish the match due to darkness in the fourth singles position.
 
Kambouroglos and junior Pattie McGinley continue to prove they are a formidable doubles pairing as they moved to 7-1 as a team in the third doubles position with an 8-6 victory.
 
Women's tennis will host Neumann on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in the first of three CSAC matches to close out the regular season.
