BOX SCORE
IMMACULATA, Pa.-Following an 11-day layoff, the Immaculata men's basketball team (4-5, 3-0) fell behind as many as 14 points in the first half to Montclair State (4-6), but a furious second half rally allowed the Mighty Macs to take the lead a couple times late in the game before Ordel Goldson (19 points) gave the Red Hawks the lead for good with less than two minutes left on their way to a 66-62 non-conference victory at Alumnae Hall. The Immaculata loss snaps the team's four-game winning streak.

However, the Red Hawks were able to keep Immaculata at arms' length on the strength of Goldson and John Yates (13 points) as their lead was in double digits for the majority of the first half.
The Mighty Macs were able to seize some momentum in the last minute when senior

The teams would then go back-and-forth as they exchanged the leads six times in the next four minutes of play with neither team getting ahead by more than one point.
With 7:46 remaining and Montclair State leading by two points, Torres drove hard to the basket and earned himself an and-one opportunity. He knocked down the free throw to give Immaculata another lead at 47-46.
Ken Rubenstein (11 points) then came down and hit a jumper to get the lead right back to Montclair State as the teams exchanged the lead 11 times in the final 14 minutes of the game.
The lead got as large as five for the Red Hawks with four and a half minutes remaining, but another mini 7-2 spurt by the Mighty Macs tied the game up at 56-56 with just over three minutes remaining. Another Peeples three, a jumper by
T.J. Klinger (5 points) in his first game back from injury, and a tip-in by junior
Adam Jones (7 points, team-high 11 rebounds) knotted the game up.
Goldson then hit another layup to give the Red Hawks the brief lead, but Peeples knocked down his third three of the half to give the Mighty Macs the one point advantage with two and half minutes remaining.
Montclair State then scored the next four points before Klinger hit a three-pointer with 37 seconds left to slice the lead to one. Following one made Red Hawk free throw, a possible go-ahead three-pointer by Klinger hit off the rim and Montclair State iced the 66-62 game away with two more free throws.
