Immaculata Men Come Up Short At Cabrini, 70-67

RADNOR, Pa.- Despite three starters in double figures, the Immaculata men's basketball squad was unable to hold off Cabrini in a key CSAC contest Thursday night inside the Nerney Field House. 

Rob Siter led Immaculata with 24 points and eight boards while Darnell Malabet and Kendall Peters totaled 13 points each.

The Mighty Macs (8-11, 6-6 CSAC) came out strong from the beginning and maintained a solid lead during the first half earning a 36-27 halftime advantage over the Cavaliers.

Both teams battled back and forth throughout the second half until Immaculata held a slim one point lead, 67-66, with 1:04 remaining in the game. However, Cabrini was sent to the foul line, sinking 4-for-6 shots during the final minute to preserve the victory.

The Cavaliers (15-4, 11-1) put three players in double figures, including Cory Lemons who posted 22 points and nine rebounds. Dom Farrello collected 14 points while John Boyd netted 12 points.

Immaculata returns home to face Rosemont on Saturday, Feb. 5, for a 3 p.m. tilt.
