SCRANTON, Pa. – Immaculata University women's tennis opened both the 2010 campaign and Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon with a loss to Marywood University, 9-0.

Felicia Thomas 8-2. At second doubles, Mighty Mac tandem
Kelsey Piliero and
Julie Einwechter were defeated 8-0 by Kara Hoff and Melissa Hudock.
In singles play, Martini took games off Nizamis in each set, 6-2, 6-3, but fell at the top position. Karli swept Thomas, 6-0, 6-0 at two singles, while Piliero was downed by Beth Schneider, 6-1, 6-2 at the third spot. Einwechter was downed, 6-0, 6-2, at the fourth position by Lindsay Burke and
Elizabeth Strauch fell in straight 6-0 sets to Erika Von Zup at five singles.
Immaculata (0-1, 0-1 CSAC) hopes to pick up a CSAC win on Tuesday, Sept. 7 as it hosts Baptist Bible at 4 p.m.
