Women's Basketball Powers Past Centenary 99-75

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Immaculata placed four players in double figures as the Mighty Macs' women's basketball squad defeated visiting Centenary College on Monday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action, 99-75.

At the end of a first half that saw both teams lead by as much as nine, the Mighty Macs (5-2, 2-1 CSAC) held a meager 41-40 advantage over the Cyclones (1-5, 1-1 CSAC). However, the Mighty stormed out of the gates at halftime putting up a 58-point second half to seal the victory.

99 points was the highest total for an Immaculata women's basketball team since December 2006 when the Mighty Macs scored 96 points against Cedar Crest College.

Chelsea McTigue and Chrissy Esbensen both finished with 22 points apiece for the Mighty Macs. Leah Kuczynski chipped in with a double-double finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds including an 8-for-8 performance from the foul line.

Kelly Brown was the final Mac Mighty in double figures finishing with 13 points and four rebounds. Bridget Welz chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds, and Marisa Kinsey finished with nine points and a team-high six assists.

In the losing effort, Centenary placed five players in double figures. Jen Vasta led the Cyclones with 18 points, while Marissa DiStasio and Hannah Ally both chipped in 14 points each. Katy DeGraw with 11 and Melissa Kukoda with 10 rounded out the five.

Immaculata travels to Delaware Valley College for a non-conference game on Wednesday night at 7 p.m
