Men's Basketball Picks Up OT Win Against Haverford, 65-60

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Robert Siter led four players in double figures with 18 points as Immaculata University's men's basketball team defeated Haverford College, 65-60, in overtime in non-league action on Monday night.

Immaculata improves to 5-6 on the year while Haverford falls to 3-6.

A three-pointer by the Fords' Ian Goldberg with 47 seconds left in the overtime pulled the visitors to within three, 63-60. However, a pair of foul shots by the Mighty Macs' John Boyd with 31 seconds left iced the contest. Immaculata connected on five of its six field goal attempts in the overtime period, including four layups and a three-pointer from Nelson Torres.

Torres scored 16 points for the Mighty Macs while Will Mascio and Eric Barefield contributed 10 points apiece. Siter registered seven steals, six rebounds and two blocked shots to go along with his 18 points. Siter's seven steals tied the school's single-game record.

The Mighty Macs shot 46.9 percent from the field for the game, holding the Fords to 37.5 percent.

Haverford's Doug Edelman's dunk with 38 seconds left in regulation knotted the score at 51-all. Siter picked up the last of his seven steals with three seconds remaining to thwart the Fords' final possession and force the OT.

Todd Stokley matched Siter's team-high six rebounds, including five off the offensive glass.

Bo Friddell and Cameron Baker paced the Fords' with 12 points apiece. Goldberg added 11 and Edelman 10 points.

Immaculata returns to Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Monday, January 11 at 8 p.m. traveling to Philadelphia Biblical University.
