IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata women's tennis team fell to visiting Alvernia, 9-0, in the home opener for the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata's doubles team of Amanda Dahlquist and Erika LaMarch took three games from Alvernia's Jenny McKee and Kayla Morgan at the top doubles flight, while Lauren Drinkard and Brenda Pohlig dropped an 8-1 decision at third doubles to Laura Ehnes and Brittany Veith.

In singles action, LaMarch, Dahlquist and Renae Padamonsky all fell by scores of 6-1, 6-0 at their respective positions, 1st, 2nd and 4th. Felicia Thomas won a game in each set of her match at third singles, and Drinkard dropped her match by scores of 6-2, 6-1.

Immaculata drops to 0-3 overall while Alvernia stay undefeated at 3-0.

The Mighty Macs will usher in the Colonial States Athletic Conference schedule on Thursday, Sept. 10 hosting Rosemont at 4 p.m.
