Kim Steinke found the back of the net in the 22nd minute, vaulting Immaculata to a 2-0 non-conference win over Penn State Berks on a rainy and cool Monday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.
The Mighty Macs (4-3-2) extended their unbeaten streak to three games, while recording their fifth shutout of the season. Penn State Berks slips to 4-3 overall.
Steinke's tally came during a strong first half for Immaculata in which it took nine shots, including five on-goal. The Mighty Macs would hold just a 1-0 lead at the half, however, the Nittany Lions' offense was limited to zero shots by the Mighty Macs' defense.
Bridget Cunninghan iced the contest in the 54th minute as she buried a direct kick from
Zena Tracey that bounced off PSU Berks goalkeeper Cassidy Dawson into the net, putting Immaculata up 2-0.

Jessica Gaburo made one save on her way to yet another shutout for the Mighty Macs, the 17th of her career. Dawson made eight saves for the Nittany Lions in the loss.
The win was a total team effort, as the Mighty Macs' midfield and defense refused to allow Penn State Berks to get any flow in the game. The Nittany Lions managed just two shots on the afternoon.
The Mighty Macs return to Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon as they travel to Baptist Bible for a 4 p.m. tilt.
