CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - Immaculata's women's tennis team fell to host Baptist Bible College, 6-3, Monday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match.
Lauren Drinkard and
Brittany Foster were double winners, as both won their singles matches and they paired up for a doubles victory to account for the Mighty Macs (0-7, 0-3 CSAC) three points of the match. The tandem won their match at third doubles, 8-2, over Baptist Bible's Sharayah McMindes and Ruth Oesterling. Drinkard claimed a win at No. 5 singles against McMindes, 6-3, 6-0, while Foster won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at the sixth spot opposite Rebecca Wagner.
Immaculata lost the top two doubles spots as
Erika LaMarch and
Kelsey Piliero lost 8-4 at No. 1, and
Felicia Thomas and
Kaitlyn O'Donnell fell, 8-6, at the second position.
In singles action, LaMarch as defeated 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1, and Piliero lost 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2. Thomas, playing in the third singles spot, dropped her match 6-1, 6-0, while O'Donnell fell in an eight-game pro-set, 8-2.
Immaculata will host Cedar Crest on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 4 p.m.
