Immaculata Men Fall At Centenary, 80-72

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - The Immaculata University men's basketball team fell on the road to host Centenary College, 80-72, on Thursday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Centenary earned a split in the season series with the win tonight to improve to 9-10 overall and 4-6 in the league. Immaculata, who captured the first meeting between the two schools, drops to 6-13, 4-6 CSAC.

Immaculata placed four scorers in double figures, led by Kyle Finklea 16 points. Julius Lopez registered 12 points and five rebounds while John Boyd amassed 11 points and five boards. Sean Fordham rounded out the quartet with 10 points and a team-high four assists. John Alderson led the Mighty Macs on the glass, bringing down six rebounds.

After being down 34-26 at the half, Immaculata cut the deficit to two points midway through the second half. That would be as close as the Mighty Macs would get as the Cyclones extended their margin and went on for the eight-point victory.

Centenary was led by two double-double efforts. Ryan Kearney had 20 points and 11 rebounds while Andrew Baker amassed 14 points and 12 grabs for the Cyclones.

Immaculata returns to Alumnae Hall on Saturday, Feb. 7, hosting Baptist Bible at 1 p.m.
