Immaculata Men Fall To Cabrini In Season Finale, 79-70

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Senior Kyle Finklea's 34 points to tie the IU single-game record was not enough to lift Immaculata past visiting Cabrini, 79-70, on senior night Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Immaculata concludes the season 7-18 overall and 5-11 in the CSAC while Cabrini improved to 19-6, 12-4 in the league and earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament with the win.

Finklea matched Jayson Hyman's record with 34 points in his final collegiate game, to finish his four-year career with 1,544 points. Finklea shot 11-for-17 from the field, including 4-for-5 from long range. He also claimed 10 rebounds.

Senior Julius Lopez added 15 points and three assists while Sean Fordham chipped in seven points. Senior Josh Alderson grabbed six boards for Immaculata.

Immaculata tied the contest up for the sixth time at 59-all as Fordham get both ends of a one-and-one with 7:42 to play. However, Cabrini would push its lead to nine, 71-62, just inside the three-minute mark.

The Mighty Macs made a late run down the stretch, cutting their deficit to five, 73-68, with 1:32 remaining. Immaculata sent Cabrini to the six times during the final 1:04, and the Cavaliers were a perfect 6-for-6.

Kevin Misevicius powered the Cabrini offense with 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double of the season. Corey White tallied 14 points after coming off the Cabrini bench.
