Men's Basketball Comes Back For 70-66 Win At Baptist Bible

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - Immaculata's men's basketball team played from behind to earn a 70-66 win at Baptist Bible Monday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest.

Immaculata (4-4, 3-1 CSAC) was paced by Robert Siter's 18 points and five rebounds, and John Boyd added 17 points.

Baptist Bible would take a 48-40 lead midway through the second half when Immaculata crawled its way back and eventually tied the game. The Mighty Macs would eventually take a two-point lead with five minutes left.

Siter successfully completed the three-point play to give the Mighty Macs a three-point lead with three minutes remaining. However, Ryan Sullivan of Baptist Bible would answer with his converted three-point play to tie the game at the one minute mark. With 37 seconds on the clock, Boyd nailed a three pointer for a three-point edge for Immaculata, and Baptist Bible could not find its answer as the time expired.

Baptist Bible (1-6, 0-4) led 31-27 at the half but Immaculata used its strong performance from the field during the second to come back for the win. The Mighty shot 58.6 percent (17 of 29) from the second in their way to outscoring the Defenders 43-35.

Baptist Bible's Nathan Greve registered a double double on team highs in both points (20) and rebounds (14).

Immaculata is off until next Tuesday, Dec. 15 when it hosts Eastern at 7 p.m. at Alumnae Hall.
