Baptist Bible Hands Immaculata Women 65-52 Loss

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - Baptist Bible jumped ahead early on Immaculata, and kept the lead it built at the 18:24 mark in the first half, to cruise to a 65-52 win in Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball action Saturday afternoon.

Immaculata falls to 6-9 overall and 2-5 in the CSAC. Baptist Bible improves to 4-12 on the season and 1-8 in conference.

Kelly Brown led the way for Immaculata with 18 points while Dominique Murray scored 14 points and added nine rebounds in the loss. Kasey Hicks added six points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Baptist Bible led by as many as 15 in the first stanza and pushed its lead back to 15 as they went into halftime, 36-21.

During the second, Immaculata was unable to get the deficit into single digits as the Lady Defenders held on for the 13-point win, their first conference victory of the season.

The Lady Defenders' Heather Dodd led all players with 24 points and Naomi Sweeney finished with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Immaculata will play its final non-conference game of the season on Monday, traveling to Elizabethtown at 7:30 p.m.
