Mighty Mac Men Stumble Against Cavaliers, 79-66

RADNOR, Pa. – Immaculata received 19 points from John Boyd, but it was not enough to overcome host Cabrini, 79-66, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference men's basketball contest Thursday evening.

Kyle Finklea added 12 points, Jeff DeSantis chipped in 11 points and Julius Lopez tallied 10 points for the Mighty Macs (5-8, 3-3 CSAC). DeSantis led Immaculata with seven rebounds while Boyd added six boards.

However, the Cavaliers (10-4, 4-2) put three players in double figures, including Kevin Misevicius who posted 21 points, and Dom Farrello who registered a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Cabrini went on a 17-6 run over the final 7:08 of the first half to build a 42-29 halftime advantage, and the Cavaliers were able to maintain the advantaged for the rest of the contest.

Immaculata was able to cut the margin to nine, 69-60, with 2:12 remaining in the game. However, Cabrini was sent to the foul line 12 times during the final 1:32, sinking 10 shots to preserve the victory.

Immaculata travels to Baptist Bible on Saturday, Jan. 24, for a 3 p.m. tilt.
