IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata's women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to DeSales on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action.
Margaret Kelley lost 6-3, 6-2 to Kate Steiner at No. 1 singles, while Amanda Wilson dropped straight 6-0 sets to Jess Smith at the No. 2 singles spot. Erika LaMarch fell 6-3, 6-1 at third singles to MaryKate Boylan. Christine Petrill took IU's Felicia Thomas 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Katherine Boyle went down 6-1, 6-1 to Krista Damirgian at No. 5 singles.
In doubles action, the duo of Kelley and Wilson lost 8-2 to Steiner and Smith in the top spot, while the team of LaMarch and Thomas lost 8-1 at No. 2 doubles to Boylan and Petrilla.
The Mighty Macs begin Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday, Sept. 13, hosting Gwynedd-Mercy at 1 p.m.
