Immaculata Falters at Eastern, 85-81

ST. DAVID'S, Pa. – Immaculata University placed four players in double figures in the scoring column, but it wasn't enough as Eastern University defeated the Mighty Macs, 85-81, on Monday night, Feb. 11. Immaculata falls to 15-7 overall and 10-3 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, while Eastern improves to 11-11 overall, 8-5 PAC.

Junior Kyle Finklea produced a game-high 24 points, on 10 for 19 shooting, and added eight assists and five rebounds in the effort. Sophomore Jayson Hyman tallied 16 points and four rebounds, while sophomore Scott Marston chipped in 15 points, four rebounds and three steals. Senior Dan Lepone was the other Mighty Mac in double-digits with 10 points.

Danny Miller and Daryl Leegwater each posted 20 points for Eastern. Miller added 10 rebounds for the double-double, while Leegwater grabbed five rebounds. Jason Reels chipped in 12 points in the Eagles victory.

Immaculata will be tested again as the league's top two teams face off when the Mighty Macs travel to Alvernia on Thursday night, Feb. 14. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
