NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Immaculata University men's basketball team fell to Baruch College, 68-53, in the consolation game of the NYU Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Robert Siter led all scorers with 17 points and added three rebounds and three steals. Senior
Kyle Finklea was the other Mighty Mac in double figures with 14 points and nine rebounds. Freshman
John Boyd added nine points and five boards.
Immaculata trailed by just three, 30-27, at halftime. Baruch began the second stanza on a 15-2 run during the first 5:08, increasing its advantage to 45-29, and the Mighty Macs could come no close than within 12 points, 47-35, with 11:58 remaining in the contest.
Baruch was led by Tammer Farid's 14 points, while George Kunkel and Steven Bader each recorded double-doubles. Kunkel has 11 points to go along with 12 rebounds, and Bader tallied 10 points and 12 boards.
Immaculata will have a week to prepare for its first Colonial States Athletic Conference contest against Neumann on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
