Women's Tennis Drops 6-3 Decision To Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Immaculata women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to host Rosemont on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 7. 

The Ramblers improved to 6-7 overall and 4-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference while the Mighty Macs slip to 1-13 overall, 1-7 CSAC.

Erika LaMarch and Kristen East both claimed victories at No. 3 and 5 singles, respectively. LaMarch downed Jessica Williams in a tiebreaker, 6-1, 3-6, 11-9, at third singles, and East claimed a 6-0, 3-2 win against Joanne Campbell by default. 

The doubles tandem of LaMarch and Felicia Thomas also picked a win during the afternoon. The duo defeated Rebecca Zimmerman and Williams, 8-5, at No. 2 doubles.

Priyanka Reddy won at first singles, 6-2, 6-0, against Immaculata's Margaret Kelley while Winnie Wolfe defeated Amanda Wilson, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 2 singles. Thomas lost at fourth singles to Zimmerman, 6-4, 4-6, 7-0. Cassandra Cuadro won her sixth singles match 6-0, 6-0 against Katherine Boyle.

Reddy and Wolfe partnered to take first doubles, 8-3, against Kelley and Wilson. East and Boyle battled Cuadro and Monahan had a tough match at No. 3 doubles, but eventually fell, 9-8 (10-8).

The Mighty Macs will be in action on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. hosting Keystone.
