SCRANTON, Pa. - Marywood topped visiting Immaculata, 8-1, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women's tennis action Saturday afternoon. The Pacers swept doubles action and claimed wins in 2 through 6 singles play for the win.

The Mighty Macs fall to 1-12 overall and 1-6 in the CSAC, while the Pacers improve to 6-3 overall and 6-1 in the league.

Marywood's Ryann Null and Jodi Balch picked up an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles over Immaculata's Margaret Kelley and Amanda Wilson, and Ashley Karli and Aubrey Klesh defeated IU's Erika LaMarch and Felicia Thomas at No. 2 doubles by an identical score. Kristen East and Katherine Boyle were downed 8-1 by Marywood's Morgan Fereck and Beth Schneider at third doubles.

Immaculata's lone point of the match came at the top singles position as Kelley defeated Null in a third-set super-tiebreaker, 10-8. Null opened with a 6-2 win, but Kelley battled for a 7-6 (7-3) win in the second set before closing out Null 10-8 in the super-tiebreaker.

Immaculata returns to action Tuesday when the Mighty Macs travel to Rosemont at 4 p.m.
