Immaculata University women's tennis team defeated Philadelphia Biblical University 8-1 in non-conference action on Thursday, September 20, in Immaculata, Pennsylvania.
The Mighty Macs swept all six singles matches, as freshman Megan Essick recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win #1 singles. Junior Margaret Kelley garnered her first win of the season a 6-0, 6-0, victory at #2 singles, while junior Amanda Wilson registered a 6-1, 6-2 victory at #3 singles. Junior Kristen East secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at #4 singles, while fellow junior Erika L. LaMarch posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #5 singles. Sophomore Renae Padamonsky rounded out the scoring with a 6-0, 6-1 win at #6 singles.
In doubles action, the duo of Essick and Kelley captured an 8-0 win at #1 doubles, while the tandem of LaMarch and freshman Kimberly DeYoung totaled an 8-1 victory at #3 doubles.
The Mighty Macs (2-3) return to action on Saturday, September 22, when they host Arcadia University. First serve is set for 1 pm.
