Immaculata Earns First Win Of The Season

Immaculata University women's tennis team defeated Albright College 5-4 on Thursday, September 13, in Immaculata, Pennsylvania.


Freshman Megan Essick recorded a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Lisa Archibald at #1 singles, while freshman Amanda Wilson collected a 6-2, 6-2, win over Stacy Bampton at #2 singles.  Junior Erika LaMarch earned a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5) win at #5 singles, while freshman Kimberly DeYoung totaled a 6-2, 1-6 (7-3) victory at #6 singles.

In doubles action, the duo of DeYoung and LaMarch registered an 8-5 win at #3 doubles to propel the Mighty Macs (1-2) to their first win of the season.

Immaculata returns to action on Saturday, September 15, when they travel to face Alvernia College.  First serve is set for 1 pm.
