Immaculata Drops Non-Conference Doubleheader To Widener

Immaculata University softball team fell to Widener University 16-1, 20-1 in a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, March 28, at the softball field in Immaculata, Pennsylvania.

In game one, the Mighty Macs were held to to one run on two hits. Freshman Jackie Finkbohner recorded a hit and knocked in fellow freshman Natalie Yodis in the third inning. Freshman Sara Kolojchick registered her first career hit in the loss.

Freshman pitcher Tabitha Kerr (0-2) suffered the loss.

Stephanie Caulford amassed two hits and five RBI, including a three-run home run and Krista Cesarine garnered two hits and three RBI to pace the Pride.

In game two, freshmen Gabby Roth and Carol Mastronate and sophomore Val Rult-Gurreie each collected a hit for Immaculata.

Sophomore Melissa Fetter (0-3) picked up the loss.

Rachel O'Leary and Steph Connolly each totaled four RBI for Widener.

The Mighty Macs (0-5-1) return to action on Friday, March 30, when they face Cabrini College in Radnor, PA. First pitch is set for 3pm.
