Despite a 67-65 loss to Neumann College on Thursday, February 15, in Aston, Pennsylvania, Immaculata University will host its first men's basketball playoff game. The Mighty Macs will host Wesley College in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Quarterfinals on Saturday, February 17, at 2 pm.

Before their fate was decided the Mighty Macs (10-15, 10-8 PAC) faced the Knights in the season finale for both squads.

Freshman Scott Marston paced Immaculata with 14 points, while freshman Jayson Hyman, sophomore Sean Fordhman and junior Robert Jones registered 10 points each. Sophomore Kyle Finklea added nine points and seven assists.

Immaculata led the majority of the first half, but Neumann held the Mighty Macs to only two points over the final 7:45 of the first half, to take a 31-26 lead into intermission.

Trailing 33-26, Immaculata used an 11-2 run to take a 37-35 lead with 15:54 left in the second half. Both teams traded baskets as the lead changed 10 times, before the Knights held a 60-56 lead with 4:04 remaining. The Mighty Macs outscored Neumann 9-5 over the next 3:45 to knot the game at 65-65 with 0:15 left. As the Knights proceed to miss the potential game-winner, the Mighty Macs were called for a loose ball foul with 0:00.3 remaining. Neumann's Ronnie Fields calmly made both free throws to give the Knights a 67-65 win over Immaculata.
