Immaculata University men's basketball team fell to Rowan University 85-79 in non-conference action on Friday, December 21, in Glassboro, New Jersey. It was the first loss of the season for the Mighty Macs (6-1).
Immaculata put five players in double-figures, including junior Sean Fordhman who collected a career-high 16 points. Junior Kyle Finklea recorded 15 points, while junior Julius Lopez tallied 11 points off the bench. Senior Reggie Strickland and sophomore Jayson Hyman each registered 10 points, while Hyman added nine rebounds and a career-best five steals.
Matt Byrnes led all scorers with 30 points, while Kevin Darby totaled 17 points for the Profs (9-1).
The Mighty Macs return to action on Saturday, December 29, when they face Randolph-Macon College in the opening round of the Rees Jewelers Christmas Classic in Ashland, Virginia. Tip-off is set for 2 pm.
