Immaculata Wins Conference Opener

Immaculata University men's basketball team defeated Centenary College 80-58, in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) opener on Thursday, November 29, in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Junior Kyle Finklea led all scorers with 20 points, while sophomore Jayson Hyman collected a double-double with 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.  Senior Rob Jones tallied 13 points and tied his career high with three steals and two blocks.  Junior Julius Lopez came off the bench and provided 10 points, while junior Sean Fordham registered a career high with six assists.

Trailing 10-8 with 12:37 left in the first half, the Mighty Macs (2-0, 1-0 PAC) used a 27-13 run to close the half and take a 35-23 halftime lead.  Immaculata opened the second stanza on an 18-8 run to post a 53-31 lead with 13:52 remaining.

Andrew Baker and Robert Urie each totaled 17 points to lead the Cyclones (1-4, 0-1 PAC).
