Cabrini's Last Second Shot Upends Mighty Macs

Randy Reid made two foul shots with 0:00.8 left in the second half to upset Immaculata University 67-65, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Thursday, January 25, in Radnor, PA.

Junior Robert Jones collected a career-high 25 points on 10-14 from the floor, while sophomore Kyle Finklea added 14 points. Jones also collected nine rebounds and tied his career high with three steals. Sophomore Dan Lepone amassed 10 points and tied his career best with four assists.

The Cavaliers (2-14, 1-8 PAC) held a 19-4 lead with 14:40 left in the first half, but the Mighty Macs (5-11, 5-4) went on a 17-5 run to pull within 24-21 with 8:41 remaining in the opening stanza. Jones had 10 of the Immaculata's 17 points during that run. Cabrini returned the favor and pushed its lead to 34-23 with 5:13 left, but Immaculata cut into the deficit and went into halftime trailing 36-31.

The Mighty Macs took their first lead of the game, 45-44, at 13:38 of the second half off a three-pointer by junior Durell Harris. Immaculata posted its largest lead of the game, 55-50, at 9:48, but Cabrini tied the game at 57-57 with 8:15 remaining. Both teams traded points and with 1:03 left, the score was knotted at 65-65. After two missed shots by the Mighty Macs in the final minute, Reid was fouled and made two fouls shots with 0:00.8 left

Reid paced Cabrini with 26 points.
