Mighty Macs Roll Past Marywood; Capture Second Straight

Senior Mary Kate Pawlowski recorded a career-high 28 points, as Immaculata University cruised to a 68-47 victory over Marywood University in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday, January 20, in Alumnae Hall.

In addition to her career-high 28 points, Pawlowski also pulled down 10 rebounds for her third consecutive double-double. Junior Nina Cammarano registered 10 points, while senior Meg Legere added nine points and 14 rebounds. Legere has totaled 1,070 career points and is 41 points shy of tying Shelia Johnson (1,111) for 13th all-time.

Sophomore Kasey Hicks amassed five points, nine rebounds and nine assists, while fellow sophomore Courtney Dixon collected eight points.

Immaculata held the Pacers to only 13 points in the first half, as the Mighty Macs took a 43-13 into the intermission. Immaculata pushed that lead to a game-high 32 points, 47-15, with 18:46 left, en route to a 68-47 victory. It was the second straight win and third in the last four games for the Mighty Macs.

Caity Hadzimichalis paced Marywood (7-10, 3-6 PAC) with 18 points.

Immaculata (8-7, 4-3 PAC) returns to action on Monday, January 22, when they face Wesley College in Dover, Delaware. Tip-off is set for 6 pm.
