Immaculata Tames Lions

Five players scored in double figures as the Immaculata University women's basketball team posted an 80-69 victory over Penn State - Berks on Thursday, January 11, in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Senior Meg Legere recorded a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while sophomore Stephanie Stripe, in her first start of her career, collected 15 points. With her 23 points Legere has now totaled 1,032 career points. She is seven points shy of tying Mary Tipping (1,039) for 15th on Immaculata's all-time scoring list.

Junior Nina Cammarano poured in 12 points, while sophomore Kasey Hicks registered 11 points. Sophomore Courtney Dixon garnered 10 points off the bench.

Courtney Bailey paced the Nittany Lions (3-7) with 20 points and 16 rebounds.

The Mighty Macs (6-6) return to action on Monday, January 15, when they host College Misericordia. Tip-off is set for 6 pm.
