IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata men's soccer fell in a 2-1 decision to the Drew University Rangers on Wednesday.
The Mighty Macs are 1-8 for the season. Their first AEC match will be on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Centenary (N.J.).
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST DREW
- Both sides saw offensive opportunities early on. In the ninth minute, Milan Kosiba juked a defender, and sent a shot at the Drew goalie, but it bounced just off the crossbar. Moments later, a Carlos Garcia header off a free kick went off the post to keep the match scoreless. Although Immaculata's defense stood strong on a few corner kicks, the Rangers placed a shot in the net in the 37th minute. The Mighty Macs countered not even two minutes later with an Anthony Fitch score on assists by Matthew Skipper and Asher Harrington. It was 1-1 after 45 minutes.
- Tyler Guise made a save just prior to the Rangers grabbing the lead for good on a shot that rolled off the post. Immaculata was able to keep Drew's offense in front of them, despite a barrage of second-half shots. The Rangers claimed the match 2-1.

- Fitch scored the lone Mighty Macs goal, courtesy of Skipper and Harrington.
- Kosiba led the team with four shots (two on goal).
- Guise started in goal and made six saves in 90 minutes.
