WHAT TO KNOW

The Immaculata University women's soccer team will officially open its 2026 season this evening when the Mighty Macs welcome Stockton University to Draper Walsh Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
Originally scheduled to begin the season on Tuesday against Rutgers-Newark, Immaculata's opener was postponed due to severe weather in the area.
Stockton enters Thursday's contest after opening its season on Tuesday against Muhlenberg College. That contest was suspended in the 56th minute, leaving the Ospreys without a completed result heading into Thursday's matchup.

SERIES HISTORY

Tonight's matchup will be the fourth meeting between Immaculata and Stockton, and the first meeting since 2013.
Stockton has won all three previous meetings.

LAST MEETING

Immaculata fell to Stockton in their last meeting on September 14, 2013, at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Immaculata goalkeeper Elizabeth McBride made 11 saves, and Shelby Clare and Rachel Gannon each registered shots on goal for the Mighty Macs.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES

Immaculata returns 16 players from last season, providing a solid foundation of experience heading into 2026.
Senior defender Sam Terry returns after appearing in all 15 matches last season while recording two goals and two assists.
Senior midfielder Mia Perrone also appeared in all 15 contests and contributed an assist in Immaculata's 1-0 AEC win over Neumann in 2025.
Sophomore forward Gracie Repici returns after playing in all 15 matches in 2025 and producing three goals and four assists for 10 points.
Sophomore forward Lily McGee appeared in all 15 matches, contributing two goals and two assists.
Junior midfielder Addison Yackel and sophomore forward Natalie D'Alfonso each scored two goals for the Mighty Macs in 2025.
Immaculata also welcomes an incoming class featuring four transfers and seven freshmen, adding depth and new talent to the roster for the upcoming campaign.

SCOUTING STOCKTON

The Ospreys enter 2026 under second-year head coach Courtney Dougherty, who led Stockton to a 7-6-7 overall record and a 2-3-4 mark in NJAC play last season. Stockton finished sixth in the NJAC regular-season standings before advancing to the conference tournament's first round.
Stockton returns a veteran group that includes Makayla Jaffe, a 2025 NJAC Second Team selection who finished second on the team with six goals and 14 points.
Defenders Amelia Shappell, Erin Lally and Bella Bednarz, along with midfielders Kylee Reissek and Megan Morris, also return after making significant contributions last season.
The Ospreys have seven starters returning from last year's squad and will provide Immaculata with a challenging test to open the season.

LOOKING AHEAD

Thursday begins a challenging stretch of non-conference competition for the Mighty Macs. Following the Stockton match, Immaculata will hit the road for five consecutive contests, beginning with a September 8 matchup at Lebanon Valley.
The Mighty Macs will also face Notre Dame of Maryland, Widener, Cedar Crest, and Delaware Valley during the road swing before returning to Draper Walsh Stadium on September 23 to host DeSales
The 2026 campaign will also mark Immaculata's final season competing in the Atlantic East Conference. The Mighty Macs will begin conference play October 3 at Centenary before hosting Gwynedd Mercy on October 10 for their first AEC home contest of the season.
