IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata men's soccer faced the Arcadia University Knights on Monday, which was a make-up from Saturday due to the weather. Arcadia won 2-0.
The Mighty Macs are 1-7 for the season. Their first AEC match will be on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Centenary (N.J.).
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ARCADIA
- The match was a physical one from the beginning, as both sides were looking for offensive opportunities. Arcadia was assessed a yellow card in the 19th minute. Moments later, a Carlos Cano shot was saved. Luca Greppellini jumped in front of a Knights shot not too long after. Arcadia got on the board in the 35th minute off a header. Greppellini collected two more saves at the end of the first half, with the Knights up 1-0.
- Although Immaculata saw a few shots early in the second half, via Michael Prall and Carlos Garcia, both were saved. Greppellini denied two shots by Arcadia's Scott Jordan before Jordan broke through the defense in the 61st minute to seal the match. Immaculata could not find the back of the net in the remaining time in regulation. The Knights were victorious 2-0.

- Prall and Asher Harrington each compiled two shots (one of which was on goal for each).
- Immaculata attempted six shots (four on goal).
- Greppellini made eight saves in 90 minutes.
