IMMACULATA, Pa. — The Immaculata University men's soccer team earned its first victory of the 2026 season on Friday afternoon, defeating Pitt-Greensburg 1-0 at Draper Walsh Stadium. Anthony Fitch scored the game's lone goal, while Immaculata goalkeeper Luca Greppellini earned the clean sheet.
 
With the win, the Mighty Macs improve to 1-6-0 on the season, while Pitt-Greensburg falls to 4-1-3 following its first loss of the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST PITT-GREENSBURG

• Immaculata controlled the opening stages of the contest, recording seven first-half shots and four corner kicks while keeping the Bobcats' attack under pressure.
• The Mighty Macs broke through in the 43rd minute when Anthony Fitch found the back of the net to give Immaculata a 1-0 advantage. Carlos Cano was credited with the assist on the game-winning goal.
• Fitch's goal came shortly after he had a free-kick attempt saved by Pitt-Greensburg goalkeeper Brett Barnes in the 42nd minute. Immaculata maintained possession following the save and earned a corner kick before Fitch found the back of the net just over a minute later.
• Immaculata continued to apply pressure in the second half, finishing the afternoon with a 15-10 advantage in shots and a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
• Pitt-Greensburg generated several opportunities throughout the second half, but Immaculata goalkeeper Luca Greppellini turned in a standout performance between the posts. Greppellini recorded seven saves to preserve the shutout and secure the Mighty Macs' first win of the season.
