IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's volleyball fell to the Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen on Wednesday in the second night of a back-to-back.
The Mighty Macs are 2-8 for the season. Their first AEC match will be on Saturday, Oct. 17 versus Saint Elizabeth.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST LEBANON VALLEY
- Angelica Santini Bulerin began the night on a positive by serving up an ace. The Flying Dutchmen tried to pull away in the middle of the set, but the Mighty Macs took advantage of a few Lebanon Valley errors to get the score to 15-11. Although Eliana Szatkowski and Antonia Antolini were responsible for kills to help trim the deficit, the Flying Dutchmen grabbed set one 25-20.
- The Mighty Macs' offense produced four kills in the initial five points of the second frame. Immaculata built a small lead before the Flying Dutchmen tied the score at 8-8 on an ace. The two sides fought back-and-forth until a Lebanon Valley 10-1 outburst ended the set 25-17.
- Immaculata jumped out to a 9-3 advantage, featuring kills from Vienna Mascieri and Madi Kyle. Despite this, the visitors swung momentum in their favor with a huge 13-3 run to make the score 16-12. The Flying Dutchmen's offense carried the rest of the way, with them taking set three 25-17, and the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kyle had six kills to lead the team.
- Santini Bulerin put up 11 assists.
- Adriana Ventura logged nine digs in the back row.
UP NEXT
The Mighty Macs head to Ursinus College on Saturday, Sept. 19 for a tri-match with the Bears and the Cedar Crest College Falcons. Immaculata takes on Cedar Crest at 1 p.m. and Ursinus at 3 p.m.
