READING, Pa. - Immaculata University men's soccer dropped a 6-1 decision to Alvernia University on Wednesday evening at Alvernia Turf Field.

The Mighty Macs fall to 0-5-0 on the season, while the Wolves improve to 3-2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ALVERNIA
- Alvernia opened the scoring just 45 seconds into the match when Joseph Washington finished a pass from Chase Malone. Immaculata quickly answered, however, as Milan Kosiba converted a penalty kick in the second minute to even the match at 1-1.
- The Wolves regained the lead in the 13th minute when Brendan Corpus scored off an assist from Chase Bartman. Corpus struck again in the 20th minute, this time off a feed from Washington, before Malone added another Alvernia goal in the 22nd minute to give the Wolves a 4-1 advantage.
- Despite trailing, Immaculata continued to create opportunities throughout the opening half. The Mighty Macs registered eight shots and four corner kicks in the first 45 minutes. Brady Derkosh put two shots on goal late in the half, but both were stopped by Alvernia goalkeeper Andrew Etkin.
- Alvernia added to its lead early in the second half when Luke Williamson scored in the 48th minute off an assist from Malone. Josh Ertel then capped the scoring in the 73rd minute to make it a 6-1 contest.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Immaculata finished the evening with 10 shots, including four on goal, while Alvernia recorded 22 shots with 10 on target.
- Tyler Guise recorded three saves for the Mighty Macs after entering in the 16th minute. Matteo Paolillo started in goal and made one save.
